Order of the Dannebrog, commander first class set of neck badge and breast star. The neck badge has the cypher of King Frederick IX (1947-1972); silver-gilt and enamel (no ribbon). The star is marked with a crowned "AM" (A. Michelsen) and "925S";. Excellent enamels.
This grade of the Dannebrog is often awarded to generals, admirals and supreme court judges as a retirement decoration. The statutes of the order say that the insignia should be returned to the Danish government upon the death of the recipient. More Details
